Team Championship in Chess

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Georgian Chess Federation, on May 7, 2011, the 69th Public School hosted a regional school-team championship in chess for teenagers born in 1998-1999. The tournament was held according to the Olympic system, 20 schools of Gldani-Nadzaladevi district participated. The team of Georgian-American High School, whose honor was defended:

• Giorgi Beruashvili - VII grade (I board);

• Lasha Jaoshvili - VII grade (II board);

• Jaba Jabauri - VII grade (III board);

• Nino Kerdikoshvili - VI grade (IV board).

• On May 23, 2011, the School-Regional Team Championship between girls and boys born in 1998-1999 was held at the Chess Palace. The winning teams of the district tournaments took part in it. The tournament was held in a circular system. Georgian-American High School team took the second place.
