IJSO – Bucharest, Romania, December 2–12, 2024

International Junior Science Olympiad

The IJSO (International Junior Science Olympiad) is a prestigious natural sciences competition and one of the largest and most respected contests for young scientists worldwide. This year, 56 countries from across the globe took part.

The 2024 Olympiad was hosted in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, where six talented students from our school proudly represented Georgia: Davit Bitsadze, Mariam Chkhikvadze, Nikoloz Kachakhidze, Daniel Tsulukidze, Gabriel Papashvili, and Roma Gabrichidze.

The team was led by Mamuka Meskhiashvili, Irma Meskhiashvili, and Giorgi Vasadze. At the International Junior Science Olympiad, our team won a bronze medal!

The Olympiad included a variety of activities. Among the most significant was the cultural and aesthetic evening, where our proud students showcased Georgia’s unique culture through a traditional Georgian dance, earning great admiration. The cultural evening concluded with a moving moment – a joint dance performed by students from all participating countries, symbolizing unity, friendship, and the beauty of a diverse yet united world.

We thank our young scientists for presenting Georgian culture to the world!
