Turkey 2015

International Conference of Young Scientists 2015 – ICYS (International Conference of Young Scientists) was held 22 times this year. Recently a conference has been hosted by the Turkish city of Izmir. 203 pupils from 28 countries participated in the project where the students presented their works in 5 sections.

Computer Science and Engineering,
Environmental Sciences,
Life Sciences,
Mathematics,
Physics.





Georgian-American and Georgian-American High School successfully participated in the united team and in the math section. The following students were awarded with gold and silver medals:

Giorgi Meskhi-Gold,

Mari Kanashvili-Gold,

Giorgi Giorgadze-Silver,

Jaba Jabauri-Silver.

Math and English teachers Ia Mebonia, Bela Koridze, Nugzar Papashvili have largely contributed to the above mentioned success.

The cultural program of the conference was brilliantly organized. The participants were impressed by Izmir sightseeings: the ancient city of Ephesus, (Artemis Temple was located here, which is included in the list of Seven Wonders of the World) and the House of Virgin Mary (it’s popular by pilgrims, including the last three visits by the Pope).

We would like to congratulation to our team and wish them much success in the future triumphs of the 23th Conference, that will be held in Romania.
