Serbia 2014
XXI International Conference of Young Scientists was held in Belgrade, Serbia this year. Georgian team was comprised of seven students of our school and one student of our Vake branch school. They represented four project works. Traditionally the conference was brilliantly organized. The hosts arranged an interesting sightseeing tour for the participants. The group was immensely impressed by the orthodox churches of Saint Sava and Saint Mark.
Excursions at Avalla TV tower and a boat tour at river Danube were incredible. Georgian team has successfully represented a project work in Mathematics section and got the first place. They earned two silver and one bronze medals at the conference. 124 students of 18 countries were represented at the conference.
The winner Georgian team was comprised of following students:
Giorgi Jgushia and Natia Cheishvili – Silver Medal
Irakli Gordadze and Andria Asatiani – Silver Medal
Lana Tediashvili and Irakli Iremashvili – Bronze Medal
Zura Shatavidze and Giorgi Beruashvili – Diploma of Honour
The team departed for Belgrad through Istanbul. That is why, the principle of our school Mr. Mamuka organized a sightseeing tour in Istanbul. The participants saw two major sightseeings – Hagia Sophia Church and Topkapi Palace of Sultans.
