Laboratory of Physics
Georgian-American High School is equipped with a physics laboratory in accordance with modern standards, where many experimental physics tools and visuals are presented. Students convert mechanical work into electrical energy by means of an electric motor: by turning the wheel by hand, they light a lamp, arrange electrical circuits of different complexity by means of various resistors, rheostat, voltmeters, ammeters, power supply or current coil. Students observe optical phenomena through a variety of prisms, lenses, light sources, or interference displays. These and many other physical event visualizations help students to gain an in-depth understanding of physical events, conduct experiments, arrange presentations, and create new experimental models. All this helps students to become interested in the subject of physics, to prepare for the National Olympiad, various competitions and international conferences, as well as to gain a thorough knowledge.
