On March 31, 2008 IV tournament in chess awarding the cup named after the king David the builder was held among schools in Tbilisi State University David the Builder.
Members of Georgian-American high school chess team took part in above mentioned competition: George Beruashvili, Lasha Jaoshvili, George Akhvlediani, Nino Qerdikoshvili took the third place, each member of the team was awarded the diploma and keepsakes.
