Netherlands 2017

Students of Georgian-American high schools and Georgian-American schools, who competed on behalf of Georgia at the International Olympiad of Young Scientists - IJSO, won a bronze medal.

This year, the 14th IJSO Olympiad was held in the Netherlands on December 3-13. Teams from 52 countries participated in the Olympiad. There are 6 students in each team, not older than 16 years. The students competed with each other in 3 natural sciences - Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The Olympiad is held in 3 rounds and includes test, theoretical and experimental tasks. IJSO - is considered one of the most difficult Olympics in the world and it lasts for 10 days.

The program of Olympiad excursions is always brilliantly organized. Students and leaders visited the sights of Amsterdam, were impressed by the museums of Rembrandt and Van Gogh, as well as boating the streets of Amsterdam.

The following IJSO host countries are already known. In the following years, the Olympiad will be held in Botswana, Qatar, Germany, Ghana, Estonia and Thailand.
